Dynatec has several advantages over traditional nylon webbing. It has a higher strength-to-weight ratio, is less susceptible to UV degradation and has greater abrasion resistance, making Dynatec an ideal material for creating lightweight quickdraws. It also absorbs less water than nylon – an important consideration for winter climbing. The sling's slim profile allows it to be used for narrow threads and to sit better on marginal spike placements.

The dual axle, single stem design of the DMM Dragon Cams gives them 360° flexibility and a huge expansion range. This design helps increase performance in sub-optimal placements and ensures you select the right piece every time. The hot-forged thumb press of the these DMM Cams reduces fumbling from gloved hands and pumped fingers, ensuring stable handling when you need it most. Another advantage of the innovative design of these DMM Cams is their ability to accommodate an extendable sling without any impact to strength. This reduces the number of quickdraws needed to extend any placement, reducing the weight of your rack. DMM Dragon Cams use advanced lightweight aluminium alloys to keep weight to a minimum without impacting the impressive active and passive strength; even the smallest 00 size Dragon Cam features active strength of 10kN while weighing as little as 75g.

Simply put, these are the best nuts on the market. They fit where other nuts won’t go, these really are a must for every climbing rack no matter your standard of climbing. The only improvement we can think of is we wished the colour coding of the alloy nut, was reflected in the markings near the wire loop for even easier identification.

What DMM say

Despite their simple appearance, Wallnuts are highly featured pieces of climbing hardware. Different alloy is used for each size - smaller Wallnuts are made from a harder alloy to prevent shearing, while larger sizes are softer so they can bite into placements. Larger Wallnuts feature hollow construction to reduce weight. Wallnuts can be placed in two different orientations, allowing a single nut to cover a range of cracks. They are tapered across both their face and sides, helping them sit better in cracks that are rarely parallel sided. Grooved faces reduce weight, help the nut seat better in cracks, improve security in shallow placements, and resist lifting out when a leader moves past them. DMM Wallnuts are mounted on wires that are stiff enough to allow overhead placements, while flexible enough to reduce the chance of lifting out. They are colour coded to correspond with the rest of our protection range, and to give quick and easy selection of the correct size from your harness.

The Pivot belay device delivers confident belaying and effective stopping power whether used in guide mode, or belaying from the waist. Guide plates have traditionally been difficult to operate when lowering seconds. The Pivot's shackle reduces the force needed to initiate lowering, increasing control of the speed at which you lower your second. The Phantom HMS screwgate is an extremely compact, lightweight and yet strong, true HMS shape carabiner that is ideally suited to belaying and rigging. Use of an extra-short gate means it can take two clove hitches with ease. Click here for the DMM instructional video.
