The optical core of the Plasfun First is a pair of BK7 glass prisms; the same prism type used across YY Vertical's higher-end models. BK7 is a high-clarity borosilicate glass that delivers clean, undistorted optics, redirecting your line of sight upward so you can watch your climber with your head in a neutral, comfortable position. The view is clear enough that you won't be squinting to spot your partner's hand movements, and the slim prism format leaves enough peripheral vision to glance down at your belay device without removing the glasses.
