Selma Splicing Fids
The only splicing tool in the world to cover all splicing functions. Introducing this epic set of splicing fids (needles) made from high polished stainless steel. Made with safety on board in mind, this patented set of four fids will handle yacht line and hollow braided lines from 3.5 to 10 mm diameter as well as three stranded ropes up to 20 mm diameter. The term stainless steel is used to describe a family of about 200 alloys of steel with remarkable heat and corrosion resistance properties. Its distinguishing characteristic is the high amount of chromium. Stainless steel contains a minimum of 10.5% of chromium that improves its corrosion resistance and strength.
