Lyon Equipment Edge Guard
Lyon Equipment’s Edge Guard has a patented design that makes efficient use of forces created when a rope is loaded in order to protect both surfaces and ropes from abrasion damage. Made entirely from polished stainless steel, the Edge Guard’s clever design was inspired by the knowledge and experience of the passionate climbers in the Lyon Equipment team. The Lyon Edge Guard is designed to reduce friction on ropes while at the same time using the load created by ropes to improve the end plates’ grip on plate edges like steel toe boards. This camming action locks the Edge Guard firmly to the edge it protects, eliminating movement and keeping ropes gliding freely without any risk of abrasion.
