Description
The Figure 8 is designed for slick rope motion to grant a comfortable abseiling experience. Additionally, the 8 can also be used as a belay device. However, it's not recommended to belay anyone that is significantly heavier, as its slick design is a trade of for added friction, making it harder to catch your partner.
