The 12mm Boa HMS has all the versatility of its alloy sibling, but has a rated strength of 40kN. It can be used for many applications where a large gate opening or high internal volume are required. The smooth rounded internal form is very useful when rotating the carabiner through attachment eyes, and the basket curves nicely to allow central hanging of loaded components.
The Klettersteig shape takes the strength and volume increases of an Offset D and then extends them even further to give a high volume, super-strong connector. The Klettersteig’s wide gate opening makes it particularly suitable for clipping oversize items, or simply allows ease of use in more normal situations.
The 10mm steel Equal D connector from DMM is a long-standing favourite in our height safety range for good reason. Striking a perfect balance between strength, weight and useability, the D-shaped back design maximises strength by distributing the load close to the spine of the carabiner. This makes it ideal for applications that call for small, tough and durable connectors.
Lightweight aluminium carabiner with a symmetrical oval shape that allows optimal loading of devices with a wide section, such as pulleys, ascenders and progress capture pulleys.
The high strength, lightweight Shadow HMS Screwgate Carabiner by DMM is designed to maximise gate opening, with a deep and wide top basket capable of accommodating three clove hitches. The aluminium construction of the Shadow HMS DMM carabiner allows these carabiners to reach a breaking strength rating of 26kN along their major axis while keeping weight down to an impressive 70g.
The DMM Shadow screwgate carabiner delivers the perfect mix of low weight and useability. With innovative I-beam construction reducing weight to just 50 grams, you can carry as many Shadows as you need without feeling the weight. The design of the Shadow allows it to be used comfortably while wearing gloves, making it suitable for use in winter.

This two-piece set is made up of two amazing products that our experts know work brilliantly together. The lightweight, high performance DMM Mantis belay device gives its users smooth, confident control over ropes as thin as 7.3mm. This simple device is a must-have for any kit, being ideally suited to any rope between 7.3mm and 11mm diameter. The DMM Shadow HMS Screwgate Carabiner has been designed to maximise utility and strength while minimising weight. The wide, deep top basket can accommodate three clove hitches, and the aluminium construction keeps weight down to an impressive 70g. The innovative I-beam design has allowed DMM to maintain an excellent strength rating of 26kN along the Shadow’s major axis.
