The lightweight Petzl Reverso is an exceptionally versatile belay/rappel device. Designed for rock climbing, mountaineering and multi-pitch climbing, it can be used to belay climbers or to rappel down.

Beyond this, in Reverso mode this belay device can be used to belay one or two second climbers, making the Reverso an indispensable part of any climber’s kit.

Then intelligently designed rope channels promote smooth rope glide and reduce rope wear. The Reverso is compatible with most rope diameters. These include:

Feeding slack and catching falls are accomplished using standard belay techniques, always keeping a hand on the brake side of the rope
Rope glides smoothly through the device
V-shaped friction grooves enable controlled braking
Rope installation diagrams for belaying and Reverso mode are engraved on the device
